How does the in-store microchip scanning process work?

Returning a found pet using our service takes just a few steps:

  1. Locate a Store: Use our [Store Locator] to find your nearest Hollywood Feed.

  2. Secure the Pet: Transport the animal safely on a secure leash or inside a pet carrier.

  3. Notify the Team: Let any Feed Team member know you have found a stray or lost pet.

  4. Scan & Identify: We will scan between the pet's shoulder blades using a universal microchip reader. If a chip is detected, we will help you identify the registry company associated with the ID code so you can initiate contact with the owner.
